American West Heritage Center.
Spring time is certainly here and with its new flowers and
baby animals everywhere. This year Elaine took us to the American West Heritage
Center to see it all. The kids had a blast. They even had a bear cub exhibit.
We were able to see and enjoy the cuteness of these wild animals, which were
brought in from Bear World at Yellowstone.
The kids had so much fun riding on ponies, petting farm
animal babies and as a special treat we even got to participate on their candy
cannon shoot out. The day was perfect and even better because they got to enjoy
it with their cousins.
I absolutely love this picture of Daniel. He kept looking at the goat kid like saying “you want me to touch that”
Andrew’s soccer
I sign up Andrew to do city soccer. I guess I missed the part where it said that
first graders, kindergartners and pre-kindergartners were all going to be in
the same team. Not to mention the fact that they had 9 players from each team,
that is 18 kids running on the field at the same time.
Andrew was the smallest kid by far. He had to play against
kids Joshua’s size which were more coordinated than him. We were so proud of him
though.
He got frustrated more than once on each game but he never
quit or gave up. He was always running after the ball, even if by the time he caught
up to it, it had been turn to the other team. His best position was to be the goalie.
He was a pretty darn good one too. Never afraid to stop the ball, always ready
to catch it and pass it back to his teammates.
At the end of each game his team would do a cheer. Andrew
though THIS was the worst part of playing apparently the kids were too loud for
him.
He never scored a goal but he certainly had the crowd
cheering for him.
Easter celebration at Legacy Housing
We attendant Grandma James’s housing waster party. This place
always has tons of eggs, yummy treats, crafts, games and their own Easter bunny
to take pictures with. After all the fun we even get to visit with grandma
James. I was obviously too busy watching the kids because I only managed to take these couple of lonely pictures.
Eulogy to a chair
You were there as we anticipated the birth of our first
child. You waited patiently and ready to hold our sweetheart’s little bodies when we needed you. Always
dependable, we knew we could count on you for better or worse. Always available to join us for our kid’s firsts. You helped us make their first meals and birthdays
memorable by taking on some serious messes and wearing cake more than once. There
were days when we needed your help holding sick and grumpy kids, confident that
you would be able to handle their frets, spills and in occasions even throw up. We certainly could not have been able to established time outs without you
No matter how hard the rocking chair tried the kid’s
favorite spot to take a nap was on your lap.
The kids were demanding of you, pushing and rolling you everywhere
around the kitchen, scaring your legs and hurting your joints, but you bore your
scars proudly; each wound was there to remind us of the little occurrences the
kids had done to you as they got older.
We knew you were worn out, but we just weren't expecting you
to leave us so suddenly. You collapsed while embracing Daniel for the very last
time. He cried when he saw you there, on your spot, all twisted and wrecked or
perhaps he was crying because you let him fall into the floor as your last strength
gave way.
Your burden will probably be passed on unsuccessfully to the
next empty seat which will certainly never compare to your soft and cushiony self.
We will all miss you but Daniel has been the most affected
by this tragedy. In his attempt to move on he has forgotten that he is my baby and
has since started acting out believing he is a toddler now.
Your departure has truly changed us forever,

2005-2014
This was Julia’s last competition for 2014. It was the State’s
competition. It happened to be the same weekend as Easter. Her first event was
double mini. Out of 16 girls, she took 6th place. I was so proud of
her. She had just started preparing her double mini pass a couple of weeks back
and still managed to place high.
We had three hours until her next event started. They were
having an Easter egg hunt nearby so we decided to have fun and hunt some eggs
down.
When we came back all the teams paraded around the gym and
then the girls started warming up for their last competition.
Julia was very nervous. But she got out there and did her
best job ever. We were thrilled when they called her name as they were
announcing the first place winner. She was shining on that moment.
Primary’s Easter egg hunt.
By the time we had our ward’s Easter egg Hunt Daniel was an
expert on what to do. He was so fast collecting as many eggs as possible on the
little field designated for nursery aged kids.
The other kids had to run all over the field and try to
collect the eggs.
The kids had a great time and liked visiting with their
friends for a while.
Ester day
We went to church and when we came back the kids were
thrilled to find some colorful surprises on our yard. The night before the kids
planted some magical Jelly beans. Through the night they transformed into
lollypop flowers.
After collecting the flowers we went to the back yard were
the Easter bunny left most of the eggs.
They were so thrilled to find all the eggs and little
surprises.
Later that day we headed to grandma Smith’s house were the
kids were going to have yet another egg hunt but not until Grandma walked them
around her house so they could look at pictures regarding the real meaning of
Easter.
Hiding and finding eggs is fun but I am most grateful with
My Heavenly Father for the sacrifice
that Jesus endured so that I might live, one day , on his
presence and enjoy the love of family for all eternities.
Andrew’s field trip
Our little joy school planned a trip to J&J garden
center for our field trip. The kids got to learn about plant, got to taste some
peppermint leaves and smell some mosquito repellent plants. They visited the
store’s fish tanks and got to pick one plant to bring home with them.
