May update

Haircut
i took Julia in to get her first professional haircut. Her hair wasn't bad but it was growing up uneven. so here is a picture of her new look. let's just say my toddler is a big girl all the sudden

One of Julia's birthday presents was dance lessons. She has been a great student, always doing and learning everything the teacher showed her and coming home and teaching Josh all her stretches and new songs.
On May 18Th they had a little recital type show. The girls' dance a routine moves for a song then showed off all of their tumbling moves.
Thank you grandma Smith for been there! She really enjoyed it

Our little man is One!

Mi goodness how fast the time goes by when you are having fun!. On April 28Th our little boy turned one. We celebrated at our house, with all of our family. Thank you guys for coming.
We had home made cake, the best! and spent time together.
Julia has set the bar really high for the rest of her siblings, but I am so grateful that this little guy is keeping right up to it.
Loving this little kid is the most amazing and easy thing in the world to do. he is our favorite boy(for now)
He puts himself to sleep at night and you could pretty much always tell what he needs. HE could keep himself entertained for hours.
He already calls her sister ia, short form Julia. It is the funniest thing trying to see him keep up with his sister when they are playing together.

Things that Josh can do and say by age 1:-could say tete referring to his teta which is the Spanish word for bottle
- has been able to say daddy since 7 months old
-when he wakes up, he always have a big smile for you and greets you with a hey!
-can fall asleep by himself and sleep through the whole night
-can roll over anywhere , crawl everywhere, walk by holding onto things
-open and close the stairs gate, with no difficulty.

Favorite Snacks:
-plain old cheerios
-pretzels
-his ultimate favorite: graham crackers
-loves rice, peas and carrots
Favorite things to say:
-oh, wow!
-ewe!
-cereal
-ball
-ia(calling for Julia)
-yum (after he tastes some food he really likes)
-ukie he means cookies which he calls the graham crackers
-ioky ( after he burps or passes gas, so he uses this one a lot)
still he can't say mommy, yet he calls me oty. As long as he knows who I am, we are OK

Favorite Toys:
-his little toy piano
-balls
-balls
-balls
-anything that he can fit on his mouth to chew on.
-toy phone-he can put it correctly over his ear and pretend he talks to somebody

Attitude:
lets just say he is one and the other day he heard me coming to his room and i could hear his fast little knees just crawling to the door as fast as he could and just closing the door on me.
thank goodness i found out he was just playing hide and seek with me, but boy that's is one smart boy
Mommy and daddy's favorite things about Josh:
those big wide brown eyes that just wonder and discover all day long and that cute little smile that never seems to end.
We love you Joshy, or like Julia would say Big J you are a blessing in our lives
Happy Birthday Josh!

sun..it is time for fun!

The weather was nice enough and I had nothing plan for that entire day, so we were finally able to go to the duck park. Julia and Josh love to see the duckies and feed them.

We walked around the park circuit 6 times, because we had to feed all the duckies we could possibly find, SPECIALLY the "baby duckies". With her sweet little face, Julia said to me : "look mommy the baby duckies are sooo hungry, they want pan(bread)". so of course mommy said alright honey let feed as many as we can with this loaf of bread.
You could see the commitment of this girl on feeding the ducks. She got mad at her brother for eating some of the bread. This boy would get 2 pieces of bread, one for him, one for the ducky

After we fed the ducks we went over a nearby park and had lunch, took some pictures and play on the swings for a while.

All I have left to say is:
Loaf of bread for the ducks $1, loaf of bread for Josh another $1, wonderful time with the kids.....priceless

Easter

I planned a couple of activities for the kids this Easter. It all started at the Layton mall with the Easter bunny. Julia loved stopping by the Easter bunny's house and visiting with it. I don't think she really care that much about sitting with the bunny, but i surely think she enjoyed getting a sucker at the end of the chat

We then went to ToysRus. They had an Easter egg hunt for the kids and gave gave them toys and coloring pages.
Josh and Julia had a blast and they were so excited about finding clues and stickers all over the store.
Days later, Spencer's mom took us to a cute farm in Logan to see baby animals. we all loved it, specially Julia who couldn't stop talking about all the animals she had seen and pet that day.
We saw a lot of animals, had kettle corn and home-made root beer, the kids rode the train and got to do different activities through out the place.
This was lots of fun. Thank You so much Grandma Smith for this day, we loved it!!

We came back on Easter t grandma's house to color eggs and to do an Easter egg hunt at her house
