March

Warmer weather has called this kid outdoors. He loves to play baseball and basketball so what a better way to enjoy both sports at once than like this.
field trip
Andrew had another field trip. This time it was to the orthodontics. We are learning about dental Hygiene at school. I love Coleman Orthodontics. They always make those field trips memorable for the little kids

Swimming lessons
When I was signing the kids up for swimming lessons it looked like a great idea. I am not quite sure anymore. Julia and Joshua have their lessons first and then it is Andrew's turn. Ummm, I end up spending our entire evenings at the swimming pool "not good". i will certainly have to remember this next year. The kids as always enjoy the water. Specially Andrew who seems to have a lot of affinity to it.
This year Josh did a great job. I didn't hear him scream once and was a lot better at putting his face under the water. Part of it because he was so mad that Andrew could do it and he couldn't.

Shen Yun performing arts
this was a girl's night out. Grandma Smith was kind enough to invite Julia and I to this Chinese show. Full of great acrobatics, theatrical performances and great stories. Julia's favorite was....basically the entire show. she was so excited to be there but as soon as the show was over and we made it back to the car she was gone, she fell asleep so fast!

Back hand Springs
gotta to remember this one. Josh was able to do his back hand springs all by himself. he was the only one from his age group who could do it. Lance, his teacher, kept smiling at him. every time that it was his turn to try he would tell him that he could do it by himself without help.
Indeed he could do it. he even tried it on the floor.

 Activity Days Achievements ceremony
Julia was so lucky since just a week after turning 8 and joining the activity days group they announce an achievements ceremony.  She had a great time!

Joshua's Kindergarten play
yes, he is an ox. he though this was the funniest thing ever. making cow like sounds throughout the entire play. they even got to do a square dance. he was very concern about that. "Mommy I have to dance with a girl, but don't worry she is NOT my girlfriend" is what he kept telling me.

Best buddies
It is amazing the strong connection that this two have. They are always together. Andrew is always looking out for him. Making his little brother's voice be heard even though that little brother doesn't even know how to talk yet. He always know what he needs, what he wants, what kind of games he wants to play and what book he wants to read.
Daniel loves to give Andrew a hand with his chores and Andrew is such a patient teacher.

 Birthday boy
Oh my goodness, how to describe this man but as an affectionate father, my best friend and confident, the hardest working person I've ever known, a generous soul, very giving and never demanding,
On his birthday I made him his favorite food, Gral. Tsao's chicken; The kids got him his favorite drink, root beer, and he got his favorite dessert, marie Calendar's Chocolate silk pie.
Someone enjoyed the pie a little bit too much.
For his birthday he bought the kids the movie Frozen. we all watch it together after dinner. we are so lucky to have you in our lives Spencer.
 Spring Soccer
with Spencer working every Saturday it is up to me to get both Julia and Joshua to their games. Joshua and Julia are playing on different fields this season. The parks are only 3 miles apart from each other. Sounds too easy. It wasn't. When you add three kids to that equation, which by the way you have to drag because they want to keep playing at the play ground, add to that back to back games and the result is one tired mom by the end of the day. at least i managed to take this one lonely picture.
Daniel
We made some cookies for our family home evening treats. Spencer had left the icing for the cookies on the counter top. He said something to both of us that either understood. we just replied "sure honey is o.k." next thing we know he has reached the icing on his tiptoes and was eating it all. he was proud that he had gotten the treat himself without any help. there was no way to be mad at him, he had apparently asked for icing and we unknowingly had said yes to him

Julia's field trip to the Museum of Natural History
I was a chaperon for her field trip. they had all the second grader meet at the Clearfield front runner station where we catched the train to Lehi, a two-hour commute. the kids were so excited to be in the train with their teachers and friends that we made it in no time.
I had an amazing time with these kiddos. we got to see exhibits, watch a 3D movie, they got to play on the water station and discover fossils at the sand station. after a couple of hours of play time it was time to take the train back home. most of the kids fell asleep on the ride back home.

Spring Break Fun
the kids decided they wanted to watch a movie before they went back to school. after much deliberation -none-, since there were only a few good movies worth watching. the lucky one was The LEGO Movie. We all came out of the theater laughing so hard.
Relief Society General Meeting
Great timing!. This year our church's general authorities announced that all girls over the age of 8 could join their mothers on attendance of the Relief Society broadcast. So just 4 weeks and three days after turning eight she was joining me, grandma Smith and Aunt Brook on our outing.
