Lucky 7

March 18Th was such a beautiful day. It was my dear Husband's birthday and it also marked our 7 year anniversary!!! I can't believe how fast time goes by.
Spencer probably didn't enjoyed himself so much been sick that entire week, but i sure loved the details he had for me.

He made dinner reservations at this really nice restaurant. On the way there he warned me i couldn't look at prices when ordering my food ( knowing me he knows I would have picked the cheapest thing in the menu).
The night was enchanting, no kids just the two of us. We haven't had a date just by ourselves in a long time. It was great to be alone and be able to recall good times and we just couldn't keep ourselves from talking about the kids. After all our lives would be so boring without them.

It is such a blessing to know how lucky you are, steer at your husbands eyes and think my gosh how did i get such a man in my life to take care of me and make me so happy.
I really don't know what in the world did i do in my pre-mortal life to earn this guy's love but i am sure glad i did it.
I was really sad I was not able to get him that special gift he wanted (PS3) but Julia came out with a more thoughtful idea.
About a week before his birthday we were at the grocery store and we walked by the cookie aisle. She immediately told me this:
"mommy look, daddy's cookies..they'll be perfect for his birthday" and so ....Julia and Joshua got daddy a package of Oreo cookies.
This marks year 7 of our journey together, We've grown closer together and we are still discovering new things about each other all the time.
I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us, all I know is that with you by my side I can do anything.
Thank You, my best friend for your ever-lasting understanding and patience with me, Thank you for not giving up and for working so hard every day to make our lives better.
Hope the next year is just as fun..
Your wife GABY

Disneyland!!!

OK we actually didn't go to Disneyland, as a matter of fact it was a lot cheaper than going to Disneyland, Just $12 a person, but Julia keeps telling everyone that we went to Disneyland, I guess she had a great time.

Julia and I decided to have a girl's night out and went together with our friend Heidi to Disney on Ice.
What a beautiful show it was. I am sure Josh would of love to see cars and Mickey Mouse, but the show was at 7:30 pm and Josh's bedtime is 8:00, so there was no way this little guy could come with us.
We were up in the top bowl, right at the balcony. Julia watch most of the show standing up by the rail.

There were a couple of parts she loved, specially the Little Mermaid and when the favorite songs from her Princess CD were played and there were other ones that she rather not fully observe, such as Ursula, that mean sea witch and of course when Mufasa gets killed in the Lion King.

She decided it was safer to just pocked one eye over the rails every now and then, too sad and too scary to devote this parts her full attention.

Of course we had to get some souvenirs, this one being our first time at the show, I almost die when I had to pay $25 for a cotton candy and an Icee. If you know me the cheaper the better, but what a heck, we rarely do this kind of things, so why not!

That's my baby

It is such a joy to be expecting this little fellow. Every day I am more and more grateful about the opportunity to have him in our family.
I went in for my full ultrasound, just to make sure everything was normal with him.
Besides the fact that he is indeed a boy, everything looked perfect.
His head was about 2 weeks ahead of the rest of his body in growth, but hey that's just normal on my kids.
I could have stayed in that room the entire day just watching him.
Seeing him try to run away as the nurse tried to take measurements, not that he could go anywhere. He was pushing, bending and moving those legs as if he was running though.
Then he started to play with his hands, just trying to cover up his face and touching his chin.
I was so sensitive to his spirit at this moment. He is a beautiful gift and I am just so thrilled that he has such a lively soul already and that I was able to watch him be himself for just a couple of minutes at this stage of his life.

It is amazing that a 1 lb baby could do all of these wonderful things.
This is my favorite picture of the visit, takes after his mommy, already in deep thought about something.................... maybe he is trying to decorate in there :)

Love you A.D. can't wait to meet you and hold you in my arms

Big Boy

One of the moments of pregnancy that I like and dislike the most is when you get the nestling anxiety. This time around it came pretty fast and furious.
I've been going through all this ideas and possibilities about how to decorate the boy's room and how to make it look just right. It is serious business. Although it doesn't have to be perfect, it has to look perfect in my eyes.
I get so worried about this kind of silly things, but my brain just won't let it go!! It's kind of annoying.
So as a result I had a meltdown and of course those darn hormones don't help either. I started crying because I had no idea what to do.

I though I wanted bunk beds in their room. I had even a plan to fit the crib under the lower part of a T-shaped bunk bed.
But then a realization came upon me,  a 2 year old sleeping on a top bunk is a recipe for disaster. Not to mention one of Spencer's friend at work mentioned that his kids had fallen of a bunk bed and severely fracture his arm, so the initial thought came to ends fairly quickly.

My dear sweet husband in his very patient and loving ways tried to console me and the next day we went all about changing the boy's room.
The room is still a work in progress, but I am just happy we have finally got it going.
One of the greatest changes we did that day was this:

Josh is out of the crib and into his new big boy's bed like Julia calls it.
It is such a beautiful sight to see, my little boy, the one we just had at the hospital some months ago is old enough to sleep on a bed.
He looks so darn cute!.

We had to wait for the big test that night. We didn't know what to expect. Worst case scenario, he could wake up, get out of bed and come outside, since he already knows how to open doors.
so we waited and waited and waited and nothing!!
This cute kid slept through the night without any fights or scape attempts.
We were so surprised and kind of worried, but when we came to check on him he was just snuggled up on his bed with his arms behind his head as if he was just relaxing on the beach on a sunny day.

Julia loves to give Josh a kiss goodnight, it one of her favorite parts of our night time routine. Don't they look just so grown up. They are still my babies and they'll always be, but it's hard not to miss those tiny toes that could barely walk, or seeing a two teeth smile.
I love you guys, you fill my days with joy.

birthday girl!!

Our little girl just turned 4 on Friday February 26Th. I can't believe how fast time goes by. It is amazing to me that by this time next year she'll be getting ready for kindergarten.

Most of Julia's friends go to preschool with her, so taking advantage that i was teaching that Thursday, we decided to celebrate it with cupcakes.
This little girl was so excited about it. After we sang Happy birthday to her she gave me the biggest hug in the world

We started Friday early morning opening presents from mommy, daddy, abuelito and abuelita and of course the brothers.

After that we went to boondocks. It was great, they got to play games, play in this huge maze, she even went on a kart ride with daddy! loved it

Now we couldn't celebrate this special day without going to eat at Julia's favorite restaurant. McDonald's that is. Can you imagine celebrating your birthday without any nuggets..impossible!
so lunch at McDonald's it was

Julia decided she wanted a Little Mermaid party so we invited all of her cousins over for some cake and ice cream that night

She was so excited to have them all over. She asked the entire day when were her cousins going to come and got really concern when it started getting dark. She said to me"Mommy, it's night time and my cousins are not here yet, it'll be too dark and then they can't find our house"
