3 months

My baby is a Big time Smuggler and Giggler. He wakes up every time with the biggest smile in the world that makes my heart melt, even at 2 a.m

He is finally sleeping on his bed, occasionally even sleeping all night.

Here he is all dressed up for church. All three boys have worn this same outfit. it is already fitting kind of tight, specially around that little round belly. love you my lil' man.

October

This was a busy month for sure. We had a lot of things scheduled.
10/02
Black Island Farms Field Trip
Here is our cute little joy school group. This was such a gorgeous day, nice and sunny. The boys were so excited to go into the pumpkin field. This was the first time that Julia didn't get to come with us

Josh after picking his favorite pumpkin. It took him 2 seconds to decide which one he wanted.
I am afraid the kids know they have to endure at least 5 minutes of a photo shoot with their mom. Can you see that fake smile?

The best part of Black Island Farms according to my boys is the choo choo. We rode it about 8 times and then thank goodness they were starting a pig race and we were dragged out
This kid amazes me. He doesn't hold back on anything because of his broken arm. He is so determined and very stubborn. You bet he climbed those cargo nets to get down the slides. The worst part was when he climbed the 10 feet tall slide and was too afraid to come down. I had to climb up just to realize, when I got to the top, that I was carrying Daniel on my kangaroo carrier. Daniel got to go down a slide for the first time

I love this picture. He was hiding from Josh when I turned and saw him. Trouble maker

This was the only picture that I managed to get from Daniel. He slept most of the time

10/04
Goodbye Old Blue

The time came to say farewell to old blue and welcome new and improve blue. The old one was stinky, you could probably tell all the meals that Andrew had eaten for the past 2 weeks. Andrew managed to wiggle his arm out of it four times so it was a good thing that we were replacing it. A.D. had the biggest smile when he saw his bare arm, it must have felt good to be freed from it but his happiness didn't last long.
After a couple of X- rays it was time to wrap it again. It was cute to see Andrew be a pro when they were taking the x-rays. He knew what to do before they told him. He was definitely a lot more calmed than when we came to the emergency room a couple of weeks ago.

10/10
Library date

I have taken it upon myself to take the kids to the library every week during story time, why? because I am crazy. Our new story teller is so amazing and Andrew really likes the books and pays attention to the story, sort of. While in the library he is everywhere, but when I bring the book that had just been read home, he can tell me the whole story. This particular day we had a Spider week and they got to make some spider hats.

quoting from a book we read together "AAAAAAAAAAAARGG SPIDER"

10/13
Julia's School Carnival.

This year I actually remember what day it was having missed it the year before. I actually volunteered to decorate a room which took me the entire morning. They really go all out for this activity. We couldn't make it through all the rooms that night but we got to play some fun games earn great prizes and even got to attend a magic show. We had chickfila for dinner at the school cafeteria and called it a night

10/14
Daniel's Baby Blessing

We finally were able to bless our little man. He is almost 3 months old and for some reason in this past 2 weeks he has decided to grow a lot. When I went to try his baby blessing outfit it barely fit him.

This is the same outfit that Josh and Andrew wore for their blessings so it was a must for him to fit in it. The blessing that Spencer bestowed upon him were beautiful, great promises for a great spirit and son of our Father in Heaven. I am so bless to have Spencer to be able to give this spiritual gifts to our babies; gifts of love, compassion and of leadership that will be for sure required of him some day.

Thank you to all of our family who came for this special moment

10/15
Kitty love

I don't think I've ever blogged about our Dasher. He is our one and only pet. He is 10 months younger than Julia and we got him because we though we weren't going to be able to have kids so a pet appeared to be a good idea at that time to fill in that hole.

He is the perfect little kitty very mellow and sweet, although he has caused trouble at times. Like the one time he hunted a baby bird and brought him inside the house or the time he got a garden snake and left it by my dinning table or the time that he was freely inviting his cat friends inside our house. He has since lost his kitty door privileges of course and now he is just a bomb that sits all day on our couch.
But boy do the kids love him. They love to feed him, snuggle with him, chase him and even pull his tail and dasher never fights back . Sometimes when they are being extremely rough  he might give them a little scratch but other than that he puts up with all of their "love".
It has become Andrew's duty (gave it to himself) to make sure the kitty's got enough to eat; hence the cat has gain a lot of weight.
Here is dasher and the kids throughout the years

A New Found Love
Pudding. I think this picture speaks for itself

10/19
Service and the Planetarium
After listening to the Church conferences there was a topic that really stuck up in me which was service. We had been so blessed to be the recipients of much kindness this year when I was pregnant with Daniel.
One night as I was laying on bed I had the feeling that we needed to teach our kids how to be of service to other people and to appreciate what those families had done for us.
We took cookies out to Julia's friend who had been sick and was prompted to bring dinner to grandpa at work since he was really busy with tax season. I summoned the courage to call grandpa Smith at work and arrange a date for us to come over.
Knowing that my kids would enjoy a train ride we rode the train to Salt Lake with grandma and after a good meal we made one more stop before heading home.
          We went to the Planetarium.

look at those martians on the back!

Josh has become obsess with planets and the solar system so I though we should have an educational outing that day.

10/20
Relaxing with daddy
an easy morning watching TV

10/25
Syracuse Pumpkin Walk

It was a very cold night but we ventured to go knowing that it was going to be super busy on the weekend. Spencer had to work late that night so it was just me and the kids. We ate dinner early that night and bundled up real tight and off we were. The kids really love to see all of those carved pumpkins.

10/26
Trick or Treating At Great Grandma James

Right After Julia's school we went over to legacy House were grandma James lives to attend their yearly trick or treating. The kids had a blast going from door to door asking for candy and Andrew actually had great practice before the big day.
They got balloon animals and even got to decorate their own cookies. no spooky ally for my kids this year.

10/27
Last Game of the Season

The last game game of the season finally came. Just in time too, because it was so cold that we were Popsicles by the time the games were over.
And lets face it, I am not going to miss having to get 4 kids ready by myself at 8:00 am every Saturday and pack snacks and drinks and toys so that they can entertain themselves. Not to mention Thursday night practice. Yup, I was ready for a break too.
Julia did so great this season. She scored in almost every game and she was a good team player too; passing the ball and cheering her teammates.
Her personal best were 3 goals in one game and helped with 2 other goals on the same game.
She is an amazing defense player although she doesn't like being in that position because she misses all the action. She rather be up front scoring the goals

10/27
Halloween at Grandma's church
Grandma's church had a Halloween party and we of course had to go. We had some delicious dinner and after the kids and I got to play some games and earn some prizes
I love Andrew's face in this photo!. The kids were telling them a story about some witches right before heading into the spooky swamp.

10/28
Primary Program
On Sunday the kids from our church had their Primary program. This was Joshua's first time participating on the program. Julia of course looks forward for this day, Josh on the other hand hates being the center of attention, so I didn't know if he was going to go willingly up the podium.
The Sunbeam classes just sang since we have so many kids in our ward. Josh being a sunbeam got first row seats and he was not intimidated at all. He sang all his songs and remembered all the words. Julia got to bear her testimony in front of everyone. It melted my heart to hear her how grateful she is for the knowledge she has.

10/30
Joy school Halloween party

This a cute little bunch!. For our Joy school party we played pumpkin bowling, decorated cookies and read books not to mention we got some yummy treats too.

That night we had our traditional spooky menu. This year we had:
witches hair topped with roasted warms and potato bugs covered with monkey brains and cubed vampire's blood
 and delicious swamp water!

10/31
HaLlOwEeN
Finally the day came for us to go trick or treating. This year it landed on a Wednesday so we had to wait until Julia was home to start.
While we were waiting we headed over to the library where the kids heard Halloween stories, followed by a cute little parade and trick or treating.
then we headed up for grandma's house... we made cookies and decorated pumpkins.

Then we headed for the mall...

Then we visited a couple of our favorite houses.....
This was all in one house, now you can tell why the kids wanted to go to it. The guy goes all out.
This is another house that has pretty amazing decorations
Daddy was getting our pumpkin shaped pizza ready while we were out and right after dinner, he and Julia and Josh took off to trick or treat in our neighborhood while Daniel, Andrew and me stayed home to give out candy. Andrew loved giving the candy to the kids even though I had to stop him a couple of times from eating it
