taking the oath

The Pledge of Allegiance

I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God,indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I am a citizen!!!. On march 19Th I had the privilege of becoming a United States Citizen. I can not describe the enormous happiness and pride I feel for being part of this amazing Country.
Indeed it is the Land of opportunities for I have witness it myself.
I was given an opportunity to achieve a higher education, a career and the freedom of choosing and finding the religion that has brought so much happiness into my life
I 'm so thankful to all those men and women that give their time and their lives for defending our rights and freedom.

This is truly a chosen Land by God and I'm glad that my children and my family can call it our home.

Mother's Day

I woke up this mother's day morning with these realizations:

1.-I have an incredible husband, who loves me and cares for me and would do anything in world to make me happy
2.- I have 2 amazing children who make me laugh and show me what life is really about

I still wonder what things I have done to make me deserving of these tremendous blessings in my life. Sometimes I feel unworthy of having them because they are really special people who deserve the best, and I want to be the best for them.
I may never find out, why I was chosen to be the wife of this the amazing man or the mother of these darling children but I'm grateful everyday that I am part of their lives.

Being a mom is the greatest calling in life and probably the most difficult one too, so to all the moms out there Happy Mother's Day!

Easter with the cousins!

Easter was a month ago. It's taking me this long to post anything about it. I was still pregnant then and I couldn't be too much help for Julia. Elaine invited us over to her house to color eggs and to do an easter egg hunt.
All the cousing were there. We had so much fun with Jeny, Lance and Luke that we had to post these pictures.

We spent Easter day at elaine's house. Here is our cutie pie wearing her new easter dress. she made friends with a dog that day and spent most of her afternoon chasing that dog on the front yard

Growing up too Fast!!

I am having those hormones kick in, I just feel so sad. I look at my Julia and see her so big already. People are always telling you how fast kids grow, but until now this truth has settle.
Having a brand new baby home has all the sudden transform Julia into a big girl.

When I hear Julia talking in sentences, counting from 1 to 10, she can even say about 5 words in Spanish and sign language, she can put her cloths on (not the right way but she tries), opening doors; She has started drinking from a cup and she refuses to wear a bib because it is for babies she has gone potty on her own a couple of times and....well I guess the list can keep going for a while...., admiring all these talents makes me proud but it also makes me realize that time never stops.

My girl is growing up and having new adventures every day. I will miss my baby Julia, but I'll be looking forward to making more memories with a stronger and more beautiful Julia
