Lucky SeVeN

Wow where have I've bee. I guess just busy being a mom. No Matter, I just have 4 months of blog  to update which will probably take me another 4 months to get done.

Julia at 7 years
Weight: 60 lbs.
Height: 48.5 in

My sweet little girl is growing up on me. I still can believe how big she has gotten. I can’t lift her up anymore and she is starting to get her own opinions on how she wants her hair and what she wants to wear. Like Spencer says I can’t play Barbie with her anymore
If I could use one word to describe her it would be precious. I am so lucky to have her for my oldest child, for my only daughter for my little confident and friend. So many times we conspire against those boys especially during movie time. It is hard for us girls to watch our girlie shows without having someone complaint.
You are a little mommy indeed; you love to watch Andrew and Daniel for me. You are always there to help them. They smile when they see you and you are always remembered in their prayers. Joshua absolutely worships you. He doesn’t know what to do when you are not around. He loves being your comrade and best friend. Between your sweetness and thoughtfulness and his cleverness and his outgoing spirit you guys make a great team.
At seven you wear size 1 shoe, size medium clothes, you love your hair in a ponytail but you let mommy do one of her weird hairstyles often enough.  Your favorite color is still yellow and your favorite food is cheese pizza. You have lost 4 teeth so far and have made $4 from the tooth fairy. You have tried staying up late to see that silly fairy but so far you haven't been able to catch her. You thought is was very tricky and unfair of her to collect tooth # 4 while you were in school.
You finally broke out of the 50lb weight that you've had since you were 4 and to your excitement, you are tall enough to ride in all the cool roller coasters in Lagoon and Disneyland.
You love your purple room and you love having your noise maker on when you go to bed.  You have a pretty set night time routine. You love to read your books with me then have daddy sing songs with you.
You are not a morning person but are very responsible and wake up when your alarm goes on and get ready for school all by yourself
You love tumbling still. You can do backhand springs all on your own and can do back flips on the tramp. Your brothers think that is the coolest thing ever.
You are taking piano lessons now and love it. Every Friday after your lessons you come home and teach me all the new things you have learned. You love to play with your daddy and are so proud to show him all the new songs you can play.

You are a perfectionist. Everything has to be done just right or you get frustrated. I am afraid that has rubbed off from me. If you use this quality right, you will be able to achieve anything you set your mind to do.
Mrs. Powell, your teacher, loves you. She is so impressed at your level of learning. You are reading at a 2nd grade level already and your Spanish is coming along beautifully.
You love Saturday morning chores because that’s when we put music and we dance to the beat of Michael Jackson and my Spanish singers. You love my taste of songs.
Oh my girl, you re such a blessing in our lives, we are so grateful for you every day.
My littlest man turned 7 months in March too. I can’t believe how big he is getting. He is about 20 lbs. right now, he can roll over both ways, he can almost sit by himself, and he can grab things with his fingers.
He loves his little Similac bottle; no other brand does the trick for him.
He loves bath time, specially the splashing part when he gets mommy all wet. He hates getting out of the water to get dress.
He recognizes people more easily now. I love to see him bouncing up and down when he sees me coming near him. He makes me feel so special.
He has jumped a couple of sizes cloth wise. He totally skipped the 6 months cloths and went straight for the 9 months and even then they are kind of snugged.
His little toes have not changed much tough. He can still wear a size 1 shoe.
He has 7 teeth now and loves to chew on mommy’s fingers.
I love this little man, I love all my kids but the fact that he might be my last baby has made a stronger bonding between us 2. Happy birth-month my little luv.

February recap

We began February the same way we ended January; with 2 little sick kids.  Andrew and Daniel were going through a severe case of mega virus which put them down for a couple of weeks. Runny noses, coughing and red eyes, they also couldn’t keep anything down and just wanted their mommy 24/7. My sleeping arrangements for over 2 weeks were: sleep on Andrew’s bed until 2 am which was when Daniel woke up and then I had to go to sleep on the couch with him.

Andrew’s poor eyes were so read and he just wanted to get on Andrew’s swing and rock himself to sleep all day long.

Million minutes

Julia’s school had a challenge to read a million minutes within 90 days. That goal was achieved in January and as their reward they were given a free entry to the Layton Fun Center. Andrew and Daniel took turns taking naps and Josh and Julia loved riding their scooters and climbing on the pirate ship and bouncy houses.

Valentine’s day.
I didn’t take any pictures this year. Julia and josh had fun writing cards to their friends. Julia was all about glitter and animal stickers and Josh wanted cars and toy story.
Joshua had lots of fun at school that day. He got to exchange valentines and decorate cookies.
Julia was so thrilled to get cards from her friends but a little disappointed about the school’s new no candy rule. She got some cute stickers and erasers though.
Spencer surprised the night before with a shrimp cocktail platter which we ate together as we watched our favorite show.

I was glad to have spent this day with the people who I LOVE the most in the world.

Fire station field trip
Joshua had another field trip. We went to the Syracuse fire station. Julia didn’t have school so she got to come along. Last year the fire department had this really weird video which was meant to teach the kids about fire safety but ended up giving Josh nightmares for 2 weeks. I was so relieved to see that they change that and actually had Disney create a safety video.

Andrew was in heaven looking around every corner and following the firefighters wherever they went. Once we were on the garage he took off and decided to inspect those fire engines by himself.

This is our cute bunch of joy school kids.

On the following days I just went nuts trying to organize Julia’s birthday party. Our theme this year was Fancy Nancy.

Her birthday was on a Tuesday, so we ended up celebrating on Saturday with friends and cousins. This girl had a 4-day birthday bash.
The Party:

We invited 8 girls total to our house and Spencer took the boys away so that I can do girly stuff without exposing the boys to it.
We put make up on, make some fancy hats and purses, made some paper fans too. We tried to be fancy by walking properly, I had the girls balance a tea cup on a dish as they walked up and down the hallway.
The girls made a fancy ice cream sundae and even got to drink some sparkling cider out of a fancy cup.
Julia loved having her friends over, she had a blast. This was her biggest party ever.

The boys showed up five minutes before the party was over. Joshua was so excited to come inside the house until he found himself surrounded by girls and retreated to a corner while telling Spencer; “THERE ARE TOO MANY GIRLS IN OUR HOUSE DADDY” his expression was hilarious., I guess is a good thing he only has 1 sister.
Later that evening we had the family party and the cousins were the fanciest of the evening

On Tuesday, for her birthday, I brought Julia her favorite food: a subway sandwich and surprised her at school during lunch time. I loved to see her face all lite up, she had no idea.

Well I don’t know what happened to this month. Between sickness and more sickness it was suddenly over…I am hoping March goes a little slower and better
