Julia, Josh and myself were at walmart doing one of my many shops and we were walking by an isle that had Halloween decorations. All of the sudden I hear Julia tell her little brother:
"Look Josh, Look Halloween stuff".
I replied to both of them looking at a display and said: yeah, these are scarecrows.
Immediately after I finished saying this, Julia replied and said.:
They are not scarecrows mommy, they are happycrows..see they have happy faces, they are not scary". I couldn't stop laughing for the next couple of minutes.
I love my Julia, I love been a mommy. It is the hardest job in the world, yet moments like this one make it soo worth it

busy busy
It has been a busy month for Julia. She started preschool and also dance and swimming lessons. She loves it and today she couldn't stop talking about her whole day, but I am dead tired! I am just writing this post because the kids are asleep and my hubby isn't home from work yet, so i have nobody asking me for the computer HE He just kidding.
He signed her up at a new school just 2 mintes away fro our house. It is called Syracuse Dance Academy. They start their lessons with tap dancing, She was thrilled about making music with her tap shoes and wouldn't stop trying them out at home and since they are very slippery shoes, she ended up on the floors a couple of times.
they also teach her ballet and finally artistic dancing which is her favorite.
The dance to the music and do red light green light, but my favorite part about this segment is that they get to put on darling skirts and twirl around the room with them
Later that evening she went to swimming lessons. She loves the water, but hates swimming, figure that one out. She was great most of the time right until the teacher submerge her head under the water and that was it. She didn't trust the teacher again for the next 5 minutes. Luckily this happened towards the end of the class, so she didn't miss that much.
While I was busy trying to get some pictures of Julia my little silly josh was paying attention to the teacher right in front of us who was showing the kids how to take the strokes.
I turned around and to my surprise this boy was copying the teacher. NO kidding!!
Today was a great day for him. He used the potty for the first time. he came, grabbed me and did his business.
We spent the next 10 minutes celebrating and hi5ing each other.
I had brought up the potty from downstairs just to try it out, I had no hopes or even the desire to be potty training a 16-month old baby.
But there you have it, miracles do happen. And although it was probably a mistake and he might never do it again until he is 4, i would always have a happy memory about this day.

kids, kids, Uhmm....kids
I love my children, but specially I love to see them play together and take care of each other.
Josh adores Julia and Julia is always thinking of his little brother.
They both take care of each other and play for hours together. Of course like normal kids, i have to come to the rescue during a fight, but after a few sorries and "it's OK". everything goes back to normal.
What is funny about these two silly people is that whenever one of them starts crying, I can always tell it was Josh who started it. Poor Julia has her daddy's sweet heart and won't fight back with him. He on the order hand is a fireball, always testing Julia's patience.
Lately I've been so tired and grumpy that it's been so good to have these two around to cheer me up.
Julia would always remind me to listen to the Holy Ghost and to make good choices.
She made me laugh the other day in the car when we saw some road work I think she meant to say Holy Cow or O my Gosh, but instead she just said Oh My cow!
I love it when she comes and gets me because she has set up a stage where her ponies are going to be performing and I need to be part of the audience.
Seeing Joshy imitate his daddy in every way. He would put on Spencer's shoes and walk to the garage door and said OK, gong to work , bye bye.
His favorite thing to say is Oh, man!. he was drinking out of a regular cup and spilled all over his shirt. He looked back at his shirt and said: Oh, man, all yucky!
A couple of days ago we were watching a movie, all the sudden Josh disappeared, i came to find him laying completely asleep on my living room floor. He is unstoppable all day, but at that second you could feel his innocence and tenderness through every bone in your body.

Julia's first day of school
Some neighborhood friends and I had put together a little preeschool
Julia was kind of surprise when instead of going to the school building by our house, we went to her friends house. I guess she was picturing herself in that big courtyard, but after seeing how cute my friend's house was decorated, she forgot all about it
That previous Saturday we got her her little Dora backpack which she was thrilled to wear on her first day of school.
On Tuesday Sept 1st our little Julia had her first day of preschool. I had a lot of different mix emotions that day. I was so sad to look at my little girl all grown up, and then again I was really happy to see her excitement that day
With brights eyes and a big smile she woke up that day and got ready so fast I couldn't believe. She's been anticipating this day for months

My girl is very shy, but when it comes to new challenges she is all up for them.
It is great to realize the amazing personality that Julia has and what a wonderful kid she is. We feel really lucky to have this little girl in our lives. She is full of sweetness and love.
Can't Stop
I love looking for bargains. I like to make sure I am always getting a good deal nad not over paying for smething
A few weeks ago I was looking on KSL clasifieds and found this wonderful spring horse for $5. it didn't have a handle, but I figured out a way to make one with a piece of left over pipe.
Spencer calls my inventions my McGyverism(big fan of McGyver), anyways, I then called Radio Flyer who sent me the rubber covers for this handle for free. So i got a good working horse for $5
The same thing happened to me a couple of days later, with a train table. I just couldn't let it go.
I just had to put some screws that were missing into it, and there you have it!!...... like new.
The kids new favorite place is our basement. They both spend hours just having fun with their toys and the best part is that they love to play together.
My only concern is that I hope I am not spoiling them with all of those fun things. I had to promise Spencer that i wasn't going to buy any more toys until Christmas came around.
Can't wait for it...
James family reunion
A couple of weeks a go Spencer's family had the James' family reunion. It is so great to see how my husbands resembles to his relatives and also learn about funny stories about grandpa James and his relatives. we had a great time, not to mention this was the first time that I had driven to Logan all by myself.
Although I had prepared for the worst, the trip was actually really enjoyable. Ggoing through the canyon and appreciating the views . It was just me and the kids in a car for 2 hours.
They were great, we played games, we sang songs and had snacks along the way.
The only downside of the trip was that we were dress for summer, after all it was August, but apparently I should of pack some jackets, because it was freezing that day.
I love this picture of Josh with his grandpa
Julia having fun with her cousins
Thank goodness for this teeter-totter, without it, i don't think we could of kept the kids entertain
