1 month old
At 1 month old he is 20 inches long and weights 7 lbs. He just barely be a couple of days old
Wow, where does time go. It seems like it was just yesterday that i was complaining about my contraction, and here I am a month later complaining about my lack of sleep.
This little fellow has satysfied his mommy on having a cute little baby to snuggle. I never felt this way with Julia or Josh. Truly they were out of the newborn stage the second that i left the hospital.
Patterns with this boy are non-existant. he sleeps and eats as he pleases....What a life!
He is starting to recognize voices, though. Just the other day Spencer was holding him and he was as content as ever and all the sudden he heard my voice coming out of the hallway and he started crying, I guess he just loves his mommy.
Here are some pictures of A.D at a month old. I couldn't decide which ones to blog, so I put most of them. He is just so cute!!
Summer fun!
We haven't been able to do many things this year. It is very hard to go anywhere with a newborn specially with this heat.
Spencer and I decided to take turns taking the kids to do things.
He decided to take Julia and Josh to Lagoon. He just wanted to take Julia but I managed to convince him that it wouldn't be fare for Josh because he has just as much fun. I though kids under 2 enter the park for free, but boy was I wrong, he had to pay the full price, which is kind of ridiculous for the limited amount of rides they can do.
A couple of hours later I was on my way with Andrew to pick Josh up, I guess walking through an amusement park on the hottest day of the year was not that thrilling for him.
Julia and Spencer stayed for a couple more hours and rode the bigger rides. Julia was so mad that they wouldn't let her into the roller coasters. She kept insisting to Spencer that she was tall enough...oh well perhaps next year.
At the end of the day Spencer and Julia were both tired, sunburned... oh and Spencer told me that this was the last time he ever took both kids to Lagoon all by himself
A couple of days later I took both kids to watch Toy Story 3. They should definitely put a warning on this movie"not apt for hormonal woman". Spencer had told me that one of the characters dies, so every time one of the toys got into trouble my brain started thinking oh no he is the one that dies and just started crying. I came to find out at the end of the movie that no one dies, so I was ready to smack Spencer.
Seriously though, the mom moments in the movie did fill my eyes with tears, truly kids grow up too fast. The only thing that made me stop sobbing was when Julia asked me what was wrong with me and I told her that the movie was sad. She replied " mommy is just a movie, see, everything is OK", so I am blaming my shameful display on my hormones, after all I just had a baby.
Josh, well he behave better than what I expected, although he was more thrilled about having his own cup of soda and bag of popcorn than the actual movie. So when those two were done, he was done watching the movie...... until I got him a refill

my boys!!
I am in absolute love with this little boy. He is the sweetest little baby in the world.
He loves to snuggle and he smiles a lot. When he is awake he loves to listen to the entire world around him and makes some pretty serious faces.
I am so blessed to have this little one in my home and be able to snuggle with him and just listen to those tender cries as he calls for me. I have to say even in the middle of the night he sounds just so cute, how could I not willingly and gladly wake up to help him. It melts my heart every time I hear him.
And what can I say about this silly boy, but my goodness good thing he is mine or I would be a very jealous person. He is such a goof ball. He repeats everything he hears and I mean everything.
I am so glad that Julia is his biggest example. She is a sweet girl and loves her two little brothers.
some of the things he's been saying lately have been so funny, here are some of conversations we've been having:
-mommy guess what?
what?
guess what?
(obviously doesn't know how to use that one yet)
-Josh time to get dress
go to church
no
go grandma's house
no, just to get ready for the day
Oh man
-(my favorite) Julia laughs at something he did
Julia not funny
yes it is
no, no Julia, not funny.
I thank my Heavenly Father for my two little boys and for my sweet girl. Life would not be complete without them.

4th of July
I am so proud to be an American and to call this my home.
It is amazing how many things had to come into place for this nation to become what it is right now and I am just glad that me and my family now get to enjoy the liberty and freedom that those brave man fought for in 1776.
This was definitely a long 3-day celebration. We played, swam, had some b-b-q, watched the fireworks and ....well just look at the pictures.

Julia's Dance Recital
2 weeks ago, on June 22ND, we attended our daughter's dance recital at Weber State's Browning Center in Ogden. It was a very special event for all of us.
Julia was so proud of all the things that she was able to accomplish.
We had to prepare through out the entire day and even into the night before.
Grandma came over the night before to help me put curlers on Julia's hair. That was interesting to watch.
here are some pictures of "the works" being done on her and before and after. She was thrilled to have the curlers on her hair. She changed her mind after she laid down on bed
Although her show was not until 7 pm that night, we had to get her ready at 8 am because she had a rehearsal performance at 11:00 and pictures at 1:00
Look at our girl with her hair done and that beautiful outfit and make-up
You think your kid is big when you have smaller ones at home, but my oh my, on that huge stage I was reminded how little she still is.
Her little class had a choreography with the Animal Crackers song from a Shirley T. movie.
This was such a darling experience. The best part of the night was at the end when they all came back on stage to take their vows. She was blowing kisses left and right because she didn't know where we were seated at.
Her best moment of the entire night: getting flowers from grandma and a ballerina dall and candy from mommy, daddy and Joshy

While we were waiting.......
We did a couple of little things while we were waiting for Andrew to show up. We went to the Syracuse parade and the carnival on June 25Th and 26Th.
On Friday we went to the carnival. Spent a little more time than what i though we would, but it
was great. Just the 3 1/2 of us
At the carnival the kids and I got to walk the booths and win some prizes and balloons.
Later the kids went in some of the rides.
Yes, that will be Julia going by herself on the Farris wheel. We didn't have enough tickets for all of us, so she went by herself. I just love the look of excitement on her face and you could see Josh with his arms around his waist yelling to Julia that she is doing a good job.
During the evening we even had our picture taken by the standard examiner.
Syracuse had a magic show for the kids that night. The kids had a blast watching the show. Whenever the magician asked for helpers Josh would scream JOSHY.
Of course, after that we had to have dessert. We got a bag of cotton candy and a slushy...delicious!
On Saturday, the kids had a blast watching the parade and catching lots of candy.
Later that day we had a water balloon fight, had some BBQ and we couldn't end up that day better than by watching the Syracuse fireworks from the comfort of our front yard
Our little boy
We are truly in love with our new little boy. Andrew is the perfect addition to our family. I thought I was never going to stop been pregnant and on bed rest at the same time, but here we are, already 1 week after our Andrew decided to make his appearance into this world.
The C-section went smoothly. Andrew was born to the tune of "Can't buy me love" from the Beatles, . It was kind of funny and a great touch Andrew was born with all that spiked up hair. PERFECT for the occasion!
AD had to have a lot of tests done to him, because he was considered preemie. The poor boy was poked so many times. It was really sad to see both of his hands with IVs. He is such a tough little boy.
I think no one is more thrilled that AD came earlier than Julia. My goodness she has been waiting for this moment for the longest time and I am glad that my kids get to have their mommy back, or almost. I've felt so bad while been on bed rest for not been able to be 100% for my kids.
Have you ever seen a prouder daddy. I love you all
We are just so happy that the waiting is over and that we can just enjoy the fruit of our labors.
Julia and Josh had fun coming to see mommy and the baby at the hospital, but I think they enjoyed playing around the room better.
I have to say they were thrilled to have some wrist bands put on them that said big brother and sister.
The most exciting part was driving home with all three of our kids in the car. Andrew is so little he barely fits on the car seat. He didn't like been strapped into that seat at all.
Our Family feels a little more complete now with our little AD's arrival.
