Easter was really fun this year. It was great seeing the kids racing over the hidden eggs and seeing their excitement over a couple of toys that the silly rabbit brought. This holidays are getting better now that we have two kids to enjoy watching. I had to hide the eggs on my living room the night before because I just knew if waited until the next day we wouldn't have time.
Then of course we talked to them about the Savior and we watch conference together or at least we tried. It was neat seeing Julia pay attention and explain to her that that's our prophet. She got rally excited because her new favorite song is Follow the prophet in sunbeams.
what really made it special for her was singing a song that they are learning in primary with the choir, She could not believe her ears and she actually came and sang the entire song next to me. what a special treat that was.
Josh, well let's just say he enjoyed the music , every time there was a shot of the pipes from the conference center he went WOW and mommy look! so i knew that he felt the spirit but in his own little way. We really enjoyed this Easter Sunday.
One lesson we learned though, was that the Easter bunny brought too much candy! It almost felt like Halloween time in our house. I am sure mom and dad will jump to the rescue, he he
Anyways, the day before we went over to grandma Smith's house and did some fun activities.
Julia and Josh decorated eggs. Julia an grandma made some little rolls for Sunday dinner, Julia is such a girl when it comes to doing those kind of things.
I got to learn how to make rice crispy treats, yeah never done them before. My sweet sister in-law Megan. showed me how to and all I can say is good thing I have 10 boxes of rice crispy downstairs, it looks like it's going to be one of our favorite treats going forward.
