talking time Graduation!

Talking Time is this little program that the Davis district has available for kids with phonetics and pronunciation.
Julia was having some problems placing her tongue due to her under bite, so we started her up in the program on March.
She scored really low at her initial test, so the teachers had some concern.
I am happy to say that after only four months in the program she has graduated from it.
She can say all of the early developmental sounds as well as some later ones. Her teachers were so impressed to see this kind of progress in a student. They said that it usually take kids 1 to 2 years to gain all the knowledge they need to start making the right sounds, but this little girl tried her hardest and did it.
The only person that is going to be sad about not going to talking time any more is Josh.
This was like a little preschool to him, and even though nobody actually taught him, he made his way around the room listening and repeating sounds and every now and then he got to play a game and do a craft.

I am so thankful to these dedicated ladies that give it their best to try to teach these kids.
Teacher Lisa and teacher Sandy have been a blessing for little Julia. It is definitely because of them that my sweet girl can speak better.

That is amazing, way to go little Julia, she is such a little sweetheart I am not surprised in the slightest how well she did, they don't come better than her!

She was so cute on Sunday showing me all of her treasures from her tea party, I loved seeing them all, give her a big kiss from me and tell her I love her!

Hope you are feeling better Gaby, I bet you enjoyed your free hours on Sunday. Please have Spencer give a talking to to Eric, and tell him the next time I am sick I expect the same treatment, no kids for a while!

Good job Julia! I know I have noticed a differnce in her speach. She is such a proper girl anyway, it is cute that she can sound so grown up now. I'm so glad she got this taken care of before she had to go to kindgergarten and deal with all that at the same time. Love you guys!

Wow, sounds like an amazing program. Your kids are growing up so fast! It seems like yesterday that you and Spencer had just gotten married! Looks like you guys have been keeping busy with some fun things. (By the way, I grew up across the street from the Smiths, in case you're wondering who I am!)

I'm also spreading the word about a giveaway I'm doing on my photography blog - free Shutterfly holiday cards. Come enter - I'd love for them to go to friends! :) http://ivorylimephotography.blogspot.com
