Our Family Vacation Part 1

Our family took a well- deserved vacation. Our destination: Disneyland. We all just love it, indeed to our family this is the happiest place on earth.

We drove over, leaving our house at 3 a.m. we though this way the kids could sleep half way through the trip in the car and we could gain an extra half day at the park.
Our first stop was St. George where had breakfast at Golden Corral. The kids got exactly what they wanted. Josh got fruit, Julia eggs and Andrew pancakes and cotton candy, no fuss and everyone was happy. After breakfast we were back on the road and finally made it to California by 2:30.
We stayed at the Desert Palms which was in the same block as Disneyland.

Here is a recap of our trip:
Day 1

Did some swimming at the hotel's pool. Andrew was fearless on the water and the other kids loved riding on the inflatable whale we brought with us and soaking themselves in the hot tub. Daniel got to try the pool for the first time but I don’t think he liked it much; He sure looked cute on his swimming suit though.

We then headed over to the Disney District to have dinner at the House of Blues and look around the stores. The LEGO store was by far the kid’s favorite.

The kids couldn’t wait to go to bed that night and not because they were tired but because they got to sleep on bunk beds. They alternated beds each night so there wouldn’t be any fighting.

Day 2

We started the day bright and early. After the complimentary breakfast at the hotel we headed straight to Disneyland. It was an overcast morning which meant we had the park basically to ourselves.

We rode all the attractions in Fantasyland in less than an hour and met some characters on the way. We had lunch and headed over to Star Tours. Which became one of the kid’s favorite ride as well. While Spencer Julia and Joshua had fun going on the ride, poor Andrew had to stay behind. I managed to take a picture of him trying to pull his hat up higher so that he could reach the height restriction mark. Those mean guys still wouldn’t let him go, he was so disappointed when his idea didn't work.

We had dinner at Rainforest Café and came back just in time for the parade.
I absolutely loved it. We got lots of attention from the characters especially from Peter Pan who approached Andrew, who was wearing his birthday pin, and asked him how old he was. Andrew made a number 2 with his fingers and Peter told him to Never Grow Up.

That night while we were waiting for the fireworks we went on the Tower of Terror. Josh and Julia both loved it.
We did fireworks that night but only for 15 minutes since started to sprinkle a little.
We marched home exhausted but so happy we couldn’t stop talking about all the things we had done that day
