At last we
are about to be done with school and with our soccer season. So of course we
have to push harder to make it to that finish line.
Mothers Day
It was Wonderful
day as always. I woke up to have cards on my night stand, I got to sleep in and
relax until it was time to go to church. My kids made me feel so special and my
hubby made me feel like a queen. How blessed my life is because of them. I love
you all with all my heart.
I got the best presents ever: a bag of peanut m&m's, the most gorgeous daisies and MIB 3(loved that movie, makes me cry every time).
Baseball
This was a
first in our home. We totally skip T-ball with Julia but then again she was
more into dancing back then.
Joshua got
to be #9 on the Brewers team. He looked absolutely handsome on his uniform.
Joshua is a
very social person but sometimes he gets intimidated by new situations. So far
Baseball had not held his personality back.
He enjoys
batting more than he enjoys catching the ball. All the kids dash to get the
ball and there’s Josh watching them as he asks the coach why in the world are
those kids doing that.
I guess he
wasn’t able to get a satisfying answer because when the next inning came he was
more interested on looking at the planes and pulling the weeds from the grass
where he was standing.
End of the
season for the Blue Whales.
Julia had a
great time this year in soccer. She has grown so much a player and has
developed a strong kick that helped her score a handful of goals from the
middle field.
Our last
game was cancelled due to the rain but we met later that week so the girls could
get their award. We had an end of the season Pizza Party!
I thought
they had to wear their uniforms but I guess I was wrong. Poor Julia was the
only girl wearing her soccer shirt. She still looks beautiful though.
Preschool Graduation
I can’t
believe Josh is all done with preschool. Next year he will be going to the big
school as he calls it. He is so ready for a challenge. We had his ceremony at the Syracuse Community Center. It was so cute and simple just perfect for him. The kids sang songs we had practiced throughout the year, recited the pledge and dress up as something they wanted to be when they grow up. Joshua was a firefighter of course.
It is sad to see the end of preschool with him. We had great times and I am glad I was part of his learning experience. I will cherish those memories forever.
Memorial Day
We were so glad
to have Spencer home for the holiday. We had fun at his parent’s house. The kids
played with the sprinklers, in the playground and even had a game of
basketball.
Andrew
Andrew is a sweet boy, he is very open about his feeling and very sentimental. He is a great big brother especially when Joshua is not round. Daniel loves him to pieces. They spend hours playing with each other
But, he is by far my hardest kid to figure out because what works for him one day may not work the next time and what you may think didn’t work the first time ends up being the solution to the problem
It feels like with each kid I procrastinate more and more to help him achieve milestones, so with that in mind I am giving myself one month to teach him a couple of new things before he turns 3
#1 to ride a bike by himself
#2 to spell out his name
#3 to propel on the swings by himself
#4 potty training!!!
I spent an hour pushing him around on the bike teaching him how to get it going. With a sore back and hurting feet I was about to give up when all the sudden he took off all by himself! Oh the freedom, he was so thrilled about being able to go up and down the street on his bike.
Goal #1…checked
I decided to
spend more time helping him on the computer so he can practice the Upstart
program. we practiced spelling hi without any success. One night at Smith’s he
sees a sign that said WOW. He yells back at me "two W’s mommy like my name A-N-D-R-E-W".
So the letter W did the trick. who would have known.
Goal #2....checked
Goal #3 is a
work in progress but there is still plenty of sunlight out there to practice
now #4 is a different story and I am not even going to start with that yet.
