Joy school
September arrived and with it my first turn to teach these
kiddos. My theme was community helpers. I had the kids dress up as what they
wanted to be when they grew up. These pictures turned out cute.
I was also responsible to set up our first field trip. We got to go to the fire station. The kids learn about safety, got to see the fire engine and even got to sing happy birthday to the fire chief.
Labor Day
It has become our tradition to go swimming on Labor Day. We
love the Roy aquatic center, but with a huge thunderstorm coming our way we
decided to be safe and go to the enclosed Clearfield aquatic center instead.
Spencer wasn’t feeling good so he stayed home with Daniel
while the other 3 kids and I went to have some fun.
We love swimming. Julia and Joshua are very confident yet
cautious about themselves in the water so I just had to take care of Andrew.
We had a blast, we went down the big slide a lot and Julia
even tried the lap pool. After 4 hours and wrinkly fingers and toes we called
it a day and headed over home to pick up the rest of our crew and headed over
to spencer’s family for a b-b-q.
5k Run
The kid’s school has a marathon every year. This was the
second year that Julia participated in it. It was on a Monday which coincided
with her soccer practice. She decided she didn’t want to miss either. So she
had a practice game for an hour and then we headed straight to the school.
We got there on time but they couldn’t find her running
t-shirt, so she got to run on her soccer uniform. Because of this she was late
and got to start 5 minutes later with the second group.
Even though she started late she came in 7th
place!
